Chin Kean Choy Rainbow Tai-Chi Chi Kung has been developed by Peter Chin Kean Choy, Founder and Chief Instructor of the Rainbow Tai-Chi-Chi Kung School and Chi for Self-Healing Centre. Choy studied Tai-Chi Chi Kung with Master Huang of Malaysia, a pupil of Professor Chen Man-Ching. Choy also learned the application of Tai-Chi Chi Kung with his father, Chin Ket Leong, who was a Chinese herbal doctor and martial arts master. He learned the Taoist Sciences with Mantak Chia in Thailand and the Option Process at the Option Institute, Massachussetts, USA. Choy also spent time with U G Krishnamurti, finding a unique, heart-centred way of applying his Tai-Chi Chi Kung to daily life. He has trained with Dr T K Shih of the Chi Healing Centre, USA and Dr Pang of the Zhineng Chi Kung Centre in China. He combined his experience of Tai-Chi Chi Kung with other Taoist exercises to develop the Rainbow Tai-Chi Chi Kung Practice and Philosophy. He has led weekly classes and workshops on Tai Chi Chi Kung and the Taoist arts for the last thirty years. BRIEF HISTORY OF THE RAINBOW TAI-CHI SCHOOL The Rainbow Tai-Chi School Programmes started with its first FTT Training Course in France in 1982. Sixteen years later in 1998, the founder Peter Chin Kean Choy bought Creek Farm and transformed it into a school having its own hall and residential guest and students house. The Holistic approach of learning traditional Chinese Arts of Health and Relaxation include the heart, body, mind and spirit aspects (in that order - HBMS). It emphasizes the importance of beginning from the Heart, (just as in more than 8,000 years of ancient studies of Chinese Philosophy and Medicine began with the Heart Meridian being the Governor of all Channels of Chi Energy. Once the Heart beat listening skill for example has been mastered, the connection to the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual awareness of the greater world flows effortlessly. The HBMS also focus on the importance of harmonising with the environment as a way of respecting Nature as well as maintaining a healthy balance in our daily application of the Tai-Chi Principles. For example, the food grown at the school and water used and drunk at the school are energised with Chi. Started in 2002, more than 1,000 compassionate gardeners all over the world are connected to the School in their efforts to grow and share the vegetable Potimarron with local soup kitchens. More than 1,000 persons have received chi healings from students and graduates of Chi Healing since the school was established in Devon. In 2002/2003 more than three hundred persons in UK will receive chi healing from students training to be Chi Healers. Many of the subjects of study include The Foundation Tai-Chi Chi Kung Training (FTT), Foundation Tai-Chi Form (F3T), Zhineng Chi Kung Healing (ZCKH), Trilogue (Taoist Therapy), Swimming Dragon Chi Kung and Fusion of the 5 Elements. Accessories for effective Rainbow Tai-Chi Chi Kung Learning We are continuously improving the quality of our video and DVD aids so that students can truly learn from these aids. We received recently this reminder from some one who had not even attended our classes. 'The reason that I am calling this information to your attention is that Ihave learned that the library tape is the only one the first of several Tai-Chi Chi Kung videos which Mr. Choy has produced. After surveying the other video tapes available from the library, one by David Carradine and one by Paul Crompton, I can advise you that Mr. Choy's are superior in several important ways. They are much easier to follow, they provide a coherent psychological rationale to the instruction of what others treat as mere physical exercises and they exhibit a far higher stand of technical expertise than the others. I propose that the library promptly acquire the full series of Mr. Choy's very helpful videos as I am certain that many borrowers would benefit enormously from these acquisitions.' Sincerely, Michael Carmichael letter to The Central Library Manager, Oxford, UK.
Accommodations Although charging less than half the normal price of B&B and hotels around the locality, we utilize the School property mainly for classes and courses in Rainbow Tai-Chi. As one student who came for the first time remarked that even the blades of grass radiated Chi to her, we deliberately energise every single physical item on the property with Chi, so that students can feel the chi flowing to him or her during their time here. 'It was a gloriously sunny day when I visited the Rainbow Tai-Chi School in Woodland, near Ashburton. The location is pure Devon - a converted farmhouse down a green flowery lane with a panoramic view across the valley to Dartmoor. And although the activity is distinctly Eastern in flavour, there could hardly be a place on earth more suitably natural and calming.' Kirstie Newton, Feature Writer Devon Today, July 2002

Revitalising Your Organs You are a being of energy. May your feet guide you home to your tan-tien (literarily translated as 'The Sea of Chi', the chi-energy centre of your being. May Natures Dance of Chi Energy truly help you to nourish your organs. Invest in healthy organs. Understand that your organs need a touch of kindness, compassion and gentleness from your heart, and that if they receive this they will give you a long and healthy life. You would stretch out and touch a man who had fallen by the roadside, and give compassion, kindness and gentleness if he was hurt, wouldnt you? Why not do the same for your organs? The 15 Fundamental Rainbow Tai-Chi Chi Kung exercises give you the opportunity to do so.

Scientific Research on Tai Chi
There has been a great deal of research into the benefits of Tai Chi, particularly for the elderly. Two recent studies which appeared in the British Journal of Sports Medicine (2000/2001) both found that regular practice of Tai Chi increases heart and lung capacity, boosts the immune system, improves mental clarity, flexibility, balance and increases muscle strength. Because of all this it reduces the risk of falls in the elderly.
Another report found that Tai Chi could “favourably enhance” heart and lung function in patients recovering from coronary artery bypass surgery. And The Department of Bone Marrow Transplantation, Jerusalem, Israel has used Tai Chi in the rehabilitation of severe head trauma patients. The Message from Water

Dr.
Masaru Emoto, the author of ‘The Message from Water’ and his team had been
researching on micro cluster photography of water for more than 10 years and has
recorded more than 10,000 photographs of their samples. The study included
samples from rivers of cities both in North and South America as well as in
Europe, including Britain, France and Switzerland. The photographs revealed a
world of unique structure of shape that had its own language. He also took
photographs of micro clusters of distilled water before and after exposure to
music (classical such as Beethoven and Mozart, Rock, relaxation, etc), human
emotions and even photographs of children and adults (such as Mother Theresa and
Hitler). The results showed water as a powerful mirror of whatever goes into it.
Dr Emoto was invited by Peter Choy to present his findings at The Language of
Water Conference, Bath in Spring 2001 attended by writers, scientists, Artists
and Educators from around the world as well as hundreds of participants from all
walks of life. He was also invited to The Rainbow Tai-Chi School to give a
Conference in our Annual Easter Workshop. We also conducted a very interesting
experiment involving two bottles of water. One bottle was energised with loving
chi by a group of the workshop participants and the other bottle of water was
left not energised with chi. He took the two carefully labelled bottles of water
wrapped in aluminium foil back to Japan. At his laboratory in Japan, technicians
took over and at -10 degrees centigrade they took the following photographs.
Sample A is water that is not energised with chi while Sample B is water that is
energised with chi. The Sample B according to Dr Emoto reflected qualities of
beauty, love and gratitude.

Sample A (above) of water cluster before
being Chi energised.

Sample B (above) Beautiful pure water
cluster after being Chi energised.
