The FTT syllabus includes

The F3T is a personal apprenticeship training process 1998-99

‘ I appreciated the segmented approach to the way you teach the Tai-Chi Form. It is like learning, as a child, to read a book first of all we must learn to recognise the letters before the words, then we learn simple words, then sentences before we attempt to read the whole novel.’
Su

‘The feeling of a deep emotion, almost tearful result was most evident watching Choy perform his Tai-Chi Form movements.’
D Trager

‘A true feeling of awareness of myself, my body movements…I enjoyed all aspects of Tai-Chi. The exercises are very good. The meditation side is teaching me how to be peaceful. I want to go on with it very much’
Valerie D

‘I came to the workshop feeling like DEATH. After several hours with Choy, I left feeling like a MILLION DOLLARS. I hope to come back again soon.
Valerie W

‘To be able to float like a butterfly, but without the sting of a bee. To wave my hands and arms about, not unlike a tree. I now believe that Tai-Chi is definitely for me.’
Ann M

‘I was able to feel the Chi Energy (like a band of light) stretching from the centre out to the hand. I experienced a ‘ball’ of ‘pins and needles’ just to the left of my neck that gave me a lot of joy’
Nora

F3T Fieldwork
This will include a balanced study between F3T Weekend work and a localised group study format. You will be asked to start a Donation basis or Small Fee Paying group (Donations are to be made to the F3T Bursary Fund) for the Tai-Chi Form. You will emphasize that you are an F3T Trainee giving these classes. To graduate, you need also to manifest at least 5 students to attend the Summer Workshop to demonstrate firstly, their mastery of the 37 Steps Yang Style and to take responsibility for beginning to envisage the dynamics of starting your own Tai-Chi Workshop Intensives. You will need to attend at least two weekly classes on the Tai-Chi Form until you complete learning the Part 1-4 Tai-Chi Form (at least one of the classes will be from the founder, Peter Choy); as this will also enable you to learn directly how to teach the Tai-Chi Form. You will need to have a one to one tutorial weekly session with an F3T Graduate or with Choy. You are expected to put in a minimum of 20 hours per week in the daytime to study the subjects of the F3T. Out of this 20 hours, you will need to spend at least 3 hours per week performing service at the Rainbow Tai-Chi Chi Kung School, such as chi healing, gardening, maintenance or office work. This helps you to ground your chi energy and keep the Tan-tien connection to the school.
Additional Direct Chi Healer (DCH) Qualification
There will be an opportunity to learn about Group Spontaneous Chi Healing (SCH) and Direct Chi Healing (DCH). To qualify for working as a Chi Healer for your Tai-Chi Students, you must successfully show by testimonial that you have healed 100 students (who will make a donation to the Chi Healing Centre Fund for the chi healing service) by the end of the course (or at least 80 persons by the end of the course, and the rest to be finished within one year of ending the F3T Course). This qualification is an option. You can still qualify as an F3T Graduate, teach the Tai- Chi Forms Parts 1-4 without any need to have a DCH qualification. The SCH experience is a natural by product of a strong Chi Energy focus in a Tai-Chi Group class without directly focusing on it as a healing session.
