Poem: The Inner Sun by Andy Perryman

Poem: The Inner Sun by Andy Perryman

The morning. I’ve woken up. Outside the dawn is breaking, shaded light enters the room
I feel disorientated but peaceful, lots of stillness, lying there health flowing into my body
I give thanks for this, more peace comes and a little warmth starting to stir
Suddenly light shines, it floods the room, even through the curtains. Sunrise has broken

Inside me something happens, I feel alive, excited! A sense of activity fills the air…its intoxicating!
I’m transported to Summertime. Joyousness, fun, life in full flow
The early morning freshness, scents of the blooming flowers fill the air. Yang chi, doing, enjoying

I absorb it. I love this feeling. The Sun has triggered me to get up and enjoy his rays
“Why did I feel so much from this I pondered?” I see it clearly
The outer mirrored to my inner. It was the inner Sun I felt
The joy, gratitude, love, happiness, are in me
The Sun was teaching the lesson, awakening my inner Sun
What a feeling. Like a home coming, finding love, gratitude for being alive, gratitude for everything
Everything you and I search for
Just here in my centre, even on the darkest of day or nights the Sun is waiting to shine.

THANK YOU light for being light

Andy
